No Pattern Needed

Last Thursday I attended a talk at Fabrications by Rosie Martin the author of new sewing book No Pattern Needed

The aim of the book is to use basic shapes (rectangles, triangles and squares), your body measurements and a bit of maths to create garments. And as the title says no pattern is needed.

All of the items are modern, interesting and yet simple to make. I want to make everything in the book, it’s not often you say that!

Rosie gave an interesting introduction to the process of publishing the book as well as a bit of an insight in to the Great British Sewing Bee world (she used to help create the patterns for the show). She brought along some toiles which are great inspiration for makes from the book.

I bought the book at Fabrications.
